Gameplay and content update for Action Alien
An update has been released for Action Alien almost 3 years after its release. This update consists in improvements, tweaks for the gameplay and new features being added to the game. The main feature added is the cinematic made for each map which improves the immersion and narrative dimension of the game by giving overviews of the incoming action with short introduction sequences. A lot of optimisation was also done for the aliens and other 3D models to improve the in-game frame-rate, especially for the tropical map where the tropical foliage and the bungalows had their geometry optimized with more level of details. Some bugs fixes and improvements for Action Alien
After all the updates and improvements that the game has been receiving since its release, it has proven to be quite solid. Although there are some occasional minor bugs which were reported through the time, I decided to take the time to fix them and push a new update for Action Alien. Change of the title and adding of the survival mode !

Graphics and destructibility improvements !
After adding the wasteland map in the last update, I decided to work back on the tropical island map to improve its graphics and on the initial map of the game which required redesigning to fit the new gameplay. The main work on the tropical island map was to add more foliages and more types of plants while keeping a good frame rate. This has required a lot of optimisation for the assets. Foliage collisions were also an issue since AIs were consuming a lot of UC to generate paths but hopefully, I managed to fix it by creating a smart collision system !…
